The chairman of Katsina United, Alhaji Kabir Danlami said his team is not giving up hope of finishing respectfully at the end of the season.

Alhaji Danlami, while reacting to his team 2-0 defeat to Lobi Stars at the weekend, told www.sportingunlimited.ng that his boys have vowed to never give up until the season is over.

" One thing I'm happy about is the optimism of the boys. And judging from their determination I believe we still have hope. We can't say the dice is cast, we are on 7th position, 8 points gap from the first placed team and with 15 matches to go. The title and a continental ticket is still possible.

"Against Lobi Stars, I believe wrong changes cost us the match. As at 70th minutes, it was still goalless and all of a sudden, the tide turned against us. But we're still on course," he said. On the NPFL under 17 Youth League, Alhaji Danlami said it was a good start with a high standard.

" I give kudos to the NPFL for the organisation. The standard was high and it got good attention. The foundation has been laid and I pray the NPFL follows it up and improve with subsequent editions. I am happy my team came second, it shows how much we want to achieve this season."
