NALCOMA congratulates NNL Board Chairman, Aluo on SWAN Award

*As body gets new Secretary

Nigeria National League Club Owners and Managers Association (NALCOMA), has congratulated the Chairman of Nigerian National League ( NNL), Mr. George Aluo on his recognition as Sports Administrator of the Year by the Imo State Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria ( SWAN).

In a message personally signed by the President of NALCOMA, Godwin Enakhena, the body described Aluo as an excellent Sports Administrator, adding that his award was well deserved.

After years of meritorious service in the field of sports as a Sports Journalist, Aluo was appointed Chairman of the Nigeria National league (NNL) in 2023.

And considering the various transformation he has brought to the 'Most Important League' within a short period of time, he has received accolades from individuals and groups, with the latest recognition coming from the Imo state SWAN for an award.

"Your passion for excellence, especially in everything sports has continued to earn you numerous awards, and the recognition by the Imo State SWAN is another testimony of your dedication and sacrifice to the cause of sports development", Enakhena averred.

”And as you are being bestowed with this Award, we urge you not to relent in your efforts at taking the NNL to the next level , and to see this award as a call to service to the country”, he added.

As a personality who has distinguished himself in the field of journalism, and also doubles as an Administrator, Enakhena believes Aluo is a shinning example of the actors adding value to sports journalism in another endeavour.

Meanwhile, NALCOMA now has new General Secretary, in person of Ismail Hamza, the General Manager of Sporting Supreme Football Club of Abuja, who replaces Mallam Adamu Usman Ahmed, the General Coordinator of Mailantarki Care Football Club of Abuja.

According to NALCOMA President, Godwin Enakhena, "Jigawa Golden Stars have taken the place of Mailantarki Care in the NNL, and NALCOMA constitution stipulates that once a club is no longer in the NNL, either by sale or relegation, the position held by any of its official will be relinquished".

"Mallam Adamu ran the NALCOMA secretariat pretty well and was always ready to work towards having a better NALCOMA. We wish the gentleman all the very best as his team, Mailantarki Care FC has decided to focus on its academy, which means he remains in football".
