Following the critical position faced by the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the USA/Canada/Mexico World Cup qualifying series, a delegation of Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), led by its national president, Tijani Babangida paid a solidarity visit to the ÑFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau MON.

PFAN believes there is still hope for Nigeria to be in the World Cup, especially, if the players come to the party in every match and calls on Nigerians to rally round the team until the last game is played.

The meeting was a very fruitful one in which issues of collaboration and harmonious working relationship between PFAN and the NFF, for the progress and development of Nigeria football were discussed.

The President of ÑFF was very pleased with the visit and promised to open his doors to PFAN for more positive interactions. He also said NFF, understands PFAN's reforms and statutes amendments request and assured the PFAN delegates of gradual implementation where necessary, but not in one fell swoop.

The five man delegation had the President Tijani Babangida MON, BOT Chairman Harrison Jalla, PFAN legal adviser Chief Barr. Victor Rumson Baribote, PFAN North West Commissioner, Magaji Boss, and Comrade Edema Fuludu, General Secretary of PFAN, in attendance.
