Rwanda match a must win - Moses Simon By Mike Edward Ndidi, With Less than 18 days to Nigeria's crucial qualifying match against Rwanda, Super Eagle's Moses Simon has declared that the match is a " do or die" so says former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Phillip Shaibu. "Am confident that Nigeria will qualify for the World Cup. I sat with the Super Eagle's players for twenty/twenty one hours as hostage in Libya, interacting with them, which offered me the opportunity to bond with these talented men and I see the fire in them. What I hear them say and the commitment am seeing from them and what they want to achieve in the Super Eagles, it tells me that they all have a stake to go to the World Cup, they all have stakes to make Super Eagles work," Shaibu said. The former Deputy Governor further went on to say that he holds a strong believe and confidence that the Super Eagles players want to go to the World Cup."They're not looking at any negative, they're looking at it as a project, so they're going to put all to go to the World Cup," he added. "In fact, Moses Simon told me that the match against Rwanda is a 'do or die' for the Super Eagles, stating that the Nation's Cup wasn't their top priority." According to Philip Shaibu, he's confident of the World Cup qualification for Super Eagles because of the mentality of the players."Even if you have the best coach in the world and the mentality of the players is not to win, you can't go far. I see a winning mentality in the Super Eagles and they want to use the World Cup to achieve something for themselves," he stated.
