Sportsville Award: Organisers pray for Super Eagles' success In Kigali The organisers of the annual Sportsville Special Recognition Award have joined millions of Nigerians both home and abroad to wish the Super Eagles success in today's all important World Cup qualifier against Rwanda in Kigali. In a special message to the NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau, and signed by the Chief Executive Officer of Sportsville Communication, Hon Frank Ilaboya, the body assured the President that the organisers will be joining other Nigerians to wish the Super Eagles victory in today's match in Kigali. The statement reads: "My amiable President, we are joining millions of Nigerians to wish our Super Eagles victory in today's match in Kigali. "We know how important today's fixture is and the need to support the Eagles massively for victory to keep our World Cup qualification hopes alive. "That is why we have to move our annual award forward because of the importance of this evening's match. And by the Special grace of God, we shall come back victorious." Also, the Chairman of the Award Committee, Adekunle Salami emphasized the need to support the Eagles as they battle to avoid missing the World Cup back-to-back, having missed the last edition in Qatar. "The Eagles need massive support in today's match and as stakeholders in sports, we have to be part of this support. "That was why we had to shift our Award date initially fixed for today, March 21st to April 3rd, to enable us to join other Nigerians to support our dear Eagles. "As part of the sports community, it's our duty to join Nigerians to support and pray for the Eagles in this all-important match. "It is a big sacrifice for us to make having worked so hard to hold the award today, but no sacrifice is too big when it comes to national issues like this," Salami added. The Super Eagles match against Rwanda holds this evening in Kigali by 5pm. The SV Award comes up on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025.
